Atlantic Princess Wreck

Atlantic Princess, a former cruise ship, lies submerged in the crystalline waters off Bayahibe, Dominican Republic. This site has become a tourist attraction for both divers and naval history buffs.

Built in 1973, it was intentionally sunk for recreational purposes after sharp edges and dangerous parts were removed. It was originally sunk at a greater depth, but due to a severe storm, it was moved to a shallower depth.

Atlantic Princess is now accessible to divers and snorkelers of all levels. It can be easily observed from the surface; at approximately 12 meters deep, it is an excellent introduction to wreck diving. Measuring over 35 meters in length and with large doors and windows, it offers convenient swimming access and access to the engine room.
